Wycombe workshopsDo you live in Wycombe District or South Bucks and interested in drumming, dancing, singing and your general health and well being? Then join our regular Tuesday evening workshops.
The workshops are held at the Arts4every1 Centre in Desborough Road, High Wycombe, HP11 2PU and open to everyone. The workshops start at 6.30pm and finish at 9pm and cost £5 per session or £45 for a 10 week term. Three student friends can come along together for £10. Parents must accompany those under 16 years. Free tea and coffee! The workshops will give you hands on experience of playing a wide range of drums and rhythms including Brazilian Samba, Cuban Salsa and more... But it's not just drumming, we encourage you to bring along your creative talents and interests so together we can work producing an end of term show we can all be proud of. We open every workshop at 6.30pm with an informal and fun drumcircle where we play together to create some fantastic rhythms in the moment. After a quick break and refreshments at appx 7pm we explore a particular drum, rhythm and culture from around the world sometimes with guest players or performers. At 7.30 we raise the tempo with the Drumojo Sound System. This is when we encourage live percussion and fitness dance moves to some great backing tracks. At 8 time for a break and a chill and a creative discussion on our forthcoming end of term show and rehearsals as we progress. From 8.30 to 9 we have a jam session playing some of our favourite rhythms and a drum circle where everybody gets a chance to lead and create percussive masterpieces. |
